Celebrating One Year of Inspire Maths
Wow! What a year! Thanks for being with me, supporting me and trusting me with your children’s Maths journey for this past year.
In our first year as Inspire Maths we now have Pattern Seekers, Creative Mindset Maths, GCSE groups, we’ve run maths camps, nature camps and Little Makers engineering camps.
I have loved seeing each student grow in confidence, being willing to take risks and excited to contribute to discussions, to offer ideas, to not be afraid to just try.
We celebrate every single attempt and for every fail we discuss how we can learn, eliminate, improve and move towards a new and improved idea.
We’ve explored fractions using countless manipulatives, Pythagoras and trigonometry through exploration, I’ve learnt topics new to me too! My youngest pattern seekers have problem solved, explored and played their way to a hands on approach to Maths. My older pattern seekers have explored Polyiamonds and Rep-tiles, they’ve carried out their own investigations on the beach and in the botanic gardens. My middle and high school learners have worked together to explore really challenging concepts. They’ve cut, pasted, rotated and flipped their way through transformations. They’ve approached challenging tasks in their own preferred methods, always having the opportunity to figure out a concept in multiple ways.
I look forward to another year of one to ones, weekly group fun and our new 4 week Saturday focussed camp style days.
To book your group class for August 2022 please drop me an email with your preferred group day and time and I’ll get you booked in for another term of joyful learning.
